As I was fitting my new to me Twists I notice my black calipers clear coat has seen better days. I got to thinking if I am going to repaint I would rather do something that looks good rather than plain black.

I had red on my 2 996's and loved it but, with arena red I feel like it would clash. What do you all think?

haha, signal green not so much, I do like the yellow though now that I see it. Of course even puke green looks good on a Turbo S!!!!

 

Silver

 

The silver like on the C4's is a good match.

I agree that the regular red looks a bit out of place against arena red on some of the 4S's I've seen. I think the yellow would be just as much of a clash with an Arena Red car. Besides the color clash, I think of yellow calipers as kind of flashy or racey, and I think of Arena Red cars swinging more toward the the classy, more subdued side of things. Nothing wrong with either look, but I think they are somewhat conflicting. I just don't think of Arena red cars (or other dark metallics) as good candidates for flashy options as much as white, yellow, guards red, etc. that you often see looking more like track cars. Silver and Black play pretty well on both sides in my opinion.

I looked at a silver 4s with silver calipers that I thought was very sharp, but it must be tough to keep the light color calipers clean. Silver might look good against arena red also. I'm not sure how Arena Red calipers would look against Arena red exterior (maybe a little too conservative), but it would certainly be unique.
