Best Garage Floor Epoxy?

Here are some pics with concrete coatings from CTI ( www.designcti.com ) as I mentioned earlier in this thread. You can even embed your school logo, company logo, etc. So can do some pretty cool stuff....

Noodle Boy,
I am not sure if you have the same product there - but i used Berger Jet Dry. I then took it to my body guy - he mixed in some hardener and then it was an easy application - 3 coats after prep.
As someone else mentioned Prep is the key. Regardless of what ANYONE or any 'quickfix' product may tell you - the only good way to get a bond is to acidwash the area before application. My buddy did his floor without prep and it is forever lifting from hot tyres or whenever he drops something on it.
Of course this applies to paint - If i had the $$$ to waste - i would LOVE a specialist garage floor like in VB's picture!
The garage is the ONLY thing i miss about the old house

I think the key to all of this is the prep. I'm no expert but you really need to shot pin the floor. Or use one of those diamond tooth buffer wheels. I don't think the acid etching works.
I'm still looking for a place that rents either of them.

Jim,
I agree with shot peening - however it might be ok with a NEW floor - but if it is older and has some oil/grease/fluids on it - and as concrete is porous by nature - I reccomend Acid Etching as well.
This is just my outlook - I would rather not have a flaking floor 3 years later......
Simon.

Drifting
If you want a really nice floor or to remove old coatings, have it ground. It is laborious and expensive but looks pretty good especially if you go with a clear coat finish.

There was a DIY article in fine homebuilding a year back or so on doing your own concrete staining.
