Slightly inspired by roche's black and flatsixforme's gunmetal fade 996 wheels and 993Guy's MY02s on his car I'm wondering if the marriage of the two isn't a great idea.... There was a 993 in polar silver earlier in this thread with MY02's but black might be the killer way to go....

Has anyone ever seen a polar silver 993 with black MY02 wheels? Pics anyone? Photoshop experts?

I'm leaning that way. I may try for something really unique like a slight silver lip (ala time-attacks,) silver caps and lugnuts, with matte black center. I just saw the concept in a thread on Pelican, except with Fuchs:



Not sure if it's doable in a MY02 though.

I may just end up with matte (satin, raven, etc.) black all around.



And yet I dig the OEM too.

MY'02s are my favorite wheel on a 993...OEM silver or a darker color...doesn't matter to me. i just think they look great, easy to clean and they offer depth that you don't notice in pics.

an update to my wheels...i'm changing to OEM silver lug nuts to break up the look of the dark wheels a bit.

did you consider doing a pinstripe instead? cheap non permanent solution. you could do it to mock a machined edge which i think makes a black wheel
