Thanks Andy, as I am finding out the Cayenne is really a chick magnet. All the women in my neighborhood have made nothing but positive comments about the Cayenne being their favorite car/suv.

Mike, you are too much!!!
You need to buy my Ferrari first. LOL!
So far I have put about 1000 miles on the Cayenne and I absolutely love it for what it is. "A truck!"
Super fast acceleration, massive torque, good handling, chick magnet. But super bad gas mileage. So far I am averaging 16 mpg.
But for what it is, I like it!

On my way home last week I had a glimpse of a Cayenne S, possibly a newer model. The color, which I can only describe as deep candy red, took my breath away. She got away before I got a closer look. Very nice. Great looking car Robin and welcome back.
I know how good it feels to drive a chick magnet. My wife had a VW cabriolet and although I don't enjoy driving the car on my own, I get more waves and comments from female strangers than I do with the P-car. Kinda addicting, but I still do think it takes more than just a cool car if you know what I mean!

We expect all sorts of DIYs on the Cayenne soon! Hmmm... with only 3k on the clock, it will be a while before you have to do much. Congrats on the new ride. Guards red is the best color on any Porsche. I would love to get one, but it is out of my budget at the moment. Probably an older X5 for me...

Tom,
So far I still can't obtain any factory shop manual for the Cayenne, and there isn't much technical discussion on the Cayenne board. However I have built up a nice database of old Range Rover P38 DIY stuff and Ferrari 360 DIYs. LOL!
I believe the red on the Cayenne is call "real red"? Or something like that, it is more orange than the guards red on teh 993s.
Tom, you should check out the prices on used Cayenne, they are very affordable right now.

We were very close to buying one too, 2 years ago. I loved the Cayenne but my wife in the preferred the Acura RL as a car was smaller and easier to manage for her, and still have the AWD. Enjoy it, that color is sweet.
