I don't remember exactly, but I think it was $60. I saw the same thing in the Performance Products catalog and thought it would bolt right on. Guess not!
Exactly. Mine is identical except it's aluminium. That's why I bought it- I thought $254.99 for a piece of metal with three tabs welded onto it is crazy!
Yeah I have to agree with that. I bought one and after taking a good look decided not to install it. It lowers the contact point by about 3/4" and it looks like it's pretty vunerable to getting ripped off it it catches on anything. IMHO these should really be designed with flat oval tubes that don't stand so proud of the underbody.
I took my Gert FPB off after having it on for a few months. I found that I scraped in places that I did not scrape without it (like my own driveway). I think it should be made from 1/4" flat bar stock. But I'm not the one making them, so I should just shut up.
