Default LED dash lights

Awhile back there had been a long posting about LED dash lights and the parts needed as well as where they could be purchased. I am particularly interested in the blue tint LED's. I need to know what parts I need and where they can be purchased. thanks

You can get a full kit from:

http://www.porscheleds.com/993ledg.html

I also got some additional lights from SuperBrightLEDs:

From that porscheleds site, does one color look more proper in the car?

"Warm White" seems to be the consensus. It depends why you are doing the upgrade I guess. Warm white is the color that best represents th stock color. Cool white is white with a blueish tint. Blue is.. well...BLUE. . Oh and go back and read that thread again. Superbrightleds is the place to buy from but you also need the proper sockets for the instruments.

I ordered the S White kit from PorscheLEDs. Since I have aluminum gauges the LEDs are very dim.....even at the full setting. If they were brighter I would really like them, but they are just too dim. I may try getting some different LEDs to try from superBrightLEDs.

I have an Alpin HU so I don't know about the stock radi, but I did change the CCU. The CCU uses 2 LEDs.

I assume that the radio would be similar.

Not to beat this subject to death - but if you wanted brighter dash light you would buy the kit from Porscheleds and use the bulbs from Superbriteleds. Has anyone done this and know what the bulb #'s are from brightleds that fit the porscheleds kit? thanks

Mike,

- 13 LEDs from porscheleds.com - the package said 11, but you will need 2 extra if you want to do the CCU.

- 13 74xHP3 (your choice of color) from superbrightleds.com
