New guy in Chicago
......well actually Woodstock which is about 50 miles NW of Chicago.
I recently sold my much loved '87 Carrera that I owned for 9 years and moved to a 993 which had been at the top of my wish list for quite a while. It's a '96 C2 with 65k and has some Techart bits including the front chin splitters, a strut bar and lowering springs. Aside from that it is pretty much as delivered including the 18" wheels and the 2 tone interior. We are still getting acquainted but so far I love the car. The first order of business will be to sort out the suspension which probably means at least new shocks.
I bought the car at Woodhouse Porsche in Omaha and there was actually some discussion of it here. Thanks to rennlister Mike who knew a bit of the car's history and also educated me on some of the finer points of the 993 in general.
Anyone live near me? I'm always open to some motoring or car talk.

Welcome aboard! I remember that car from a recent thread. Gotta love white 993s. Don't worry this is a great place for info on how to maintain and modify your new baby. Just hide your wallet!

Welcome!I live near Rockford (about 40 or so minutes from you). I'm getting my 993 ready for Spring soon so maybe we can meet up in May and cruise (I don't mind a 964 tagging along
).I'm also a PCA / Chicago Region Member (there's always a lot to do with them as well).
