Default What is this warning light?

When I was drivng yesterday, a warning light between the 4 and 5 o'clock area of the gauge appeared. It looks like a picture of a belt of some sort around 2 pulleys. It went on interminttently, can some one tell me what this means?

thanks

Fan belt sensor. Look at the fan on your engine and it's the belt furthest from you. Follow the belt down to the left (presuming it's intact) and you'll find a little spring-loaded wheel riding on the belt. Maybe something's wrong with the sensor.

IIRC that indicates a loose cooling fan belt....belt is probably slipping.

Mine flashed once recently and went right off, and never went on again. Should i still have it checked or is this a clitch?
