First Felix Hernandez owns it, 3 months later Keith Hernandez. Amazing how 2 MLB players have owned this engineless master piece. Is this what they call a Porsche sidecar? Buy the body and get an engine on the side

Considering that you can usually get 2x the amount for a running car, versus one sold as a "kit", this guy is nuts not to finish the engine and get it running. 1000HP? Ha! I fart in your general direction. I doubt this is a scam... else he would describe the car as "complete and running", and try to rip you off. As it is, I would seriously distrust any of the engine changes, simply because he claims 1000HP.

I dont believe the car is a scam but rather it was listed 3 months and owned by MLB player Felix Hernandez and today it was owned by MLB player Keith Hernandez. In otherwords, I find it strange that 2 MLB players in the past 3 months are linked to this car.

It's probable the first one was a mistake. Felix Hernandez is 20 years old now and couldn't have been the original owner. No telling if Keith ever owned it. Plus the carfax history on this car isn't pretty. Ad says "Please no tire kickers". Ok.

Let me lend my MLB cachet to this posting...
as michael has said- felix hernandez (seattle mariners) is 21 years old meaning he was 10 or 11 years old when the car was originally in service...so that is complete BS. secondly, keith hernandez lives in new york if I'm not mistaken. Now the topper- "my quarter million dollar..." yeah no chance! I make the same amount of money as felix hernandez as we have been in the major leagues for the same amount of time <2 years- and our salary the last two years combined doesn't really allow for those kind of purchases.
I am buying Sandy Alomar Jr's 993 TT and seeing as how he has owned the car since new and it's tasteful, completely running and 19k miles- i might be getting the deal of the century!
of course for me 'celeb cars' don't really bring any extra dollars unless it's kate beckinsdale's car and she includes herself in the sale

Yeah, but it's got special tunning equipment ! If you know how much tunns are these days, the price wouldn't surprise you. They cost tuns !
Although I suspect something may be amiss in the driveline. Engine output 1000+ bhp, and 550 at the wheels ? Maybe there's a PTO with a plow attached for farm use.
Oh, and it's butt ugly, but that's just me.

It seems legit enough to me. The ad states that when finished it should have over 500HP at the motor. He mentioned the 1000HP was with bigger turbo's, THAT in my opinion is the B.S. in the ad.
Aside from that, it seems very straight forward as far as what you are getting. To someone like me who is 99% DIY when it comes to cars, finishing that engine and getting it installed is no big deal at all. It just makes it that much more fun.
Too bad it's just but friggin' ugly!!!

imho. the car described is a semi-wreck owned by some mook in brooklyn, was told a baller name hernandez once owned it. looks like the guy does not have the $ to get it runnin'.
some nasty rice-mods were done in addition to the gemballa kit imho, 996 sport seats... wtf?! a buffet of parts has made this (not running) car. smells almost like a body shop guy bought a salvaged car then nicked some parts over time from the shop where he worked.
feel bad for the car.

i just can't get over the fact that he calls it a 250k car...
(24fps- seeing as how I am in the market for cars quite often it doesn't seem easy to find a beckinsdale car- but hey you're 310 you have a better chance than me...)
