Tire hop

Hi,
My daily driver is in for repairs, so I had to bring out my 993 cab out for a short winter drive. Noticed that when I am stopped and turn the steering wheel all the way to the left and then slowly accelerate, I experience tire hop, much like a four wheel drive car on dry pavement. Car has M030 springs and was lowered to +5 over RS specs and corner balanced. Is it bump steer, or a suspension problem? Also does it when I turn to the right, but doesn't seem as pronounced.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Not bump steer. Could your front tire be rubbing? It's not a C4, does it seem to come from the front or rear? Bump steer is a suspension issue seen at the front. Tire hop is also suspension related, but shows up at the drive wheels under accel. Something in clutch? Do you have a LSD?

My Summers turn to hard plastic in temps below 40, giving me bad wheel hop as well as triggering ABS during light braking.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I should have mentioned that they hop is coming from the front tires. I also am on summer tires (Bridgestone RE050A Pole Positions). Maybe that's it. I was hoping my steering rack wasn't deciding to give up the ghost.

My Summer's are RE050A's too.
They're 40 profile on 18" wheels. They get hard as rocks in the cold.
It's supposed to warm up a little towards the end of the week.
Take the car out again if the temps get to 50 or more and see if the problem persists.
Probably couldn't hurt to get it up on an alignment rack and check the toe.

Porsche ones shouldn't do this, but the poster's problems appear to be from the front, so something else.

I had the same thing happen to me last winter. My car has a LSD and the tires were "older" summer only tires that were hard as glass below 40 degrees. Tires literally "skipped" or "pushed" as I pulled out of my parking spot (forward only) at low speed with the Steering wheel turned sharply.
New Pzeros and the issues went away....much softer compound, way more grip.
