So for the past 12-18 mos I've been hanging around a Lotus forum in the hopes that I can somehow rationalize buying an Exige or 2-11 - which I'm still trying to do ![surrender](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/surrender.gif)
A recent thread was titled "Post pics of mods you can't buy" - comprising of members' best DIY mods. So I thought it would be interesting to see what mods Rennlisters have done.

I will be doing this mod in the near future, however I have been trying to locate the studs used and I am not having any luck.

Lol, I was thinking about starting this thread too, after reading that on LotusTalk.
But then I realized the thread will go nowhere, since our cars were properly engineering first time around.

OK I'll go: Disclaimer: Not real Proud of these but it's kind of like putting lipstick on a pig. Did what I could and I'm not going to win any awards for them...
1. Just finished today... I recently bought RS Door Panels from a R-Lister but unfortunately they already had holes cut for speakers.. My solution was to cut 6.5" Lexan and cover it with CF. I did the same for the rear speakers on the shelf but instead started with the old brackets as the guide.
2. Added a Cool Shirt last summer to the car. I mounted the On/Off Switch in the Ash Tray.
2a. Cool shirt has a Cooler in the front (trunk) that holds the Ice Water. That cooler needs to come out to be dumped and/removed when not being used. The kit is designed for a hard wire set-up. My ingenious (redneck) design was to use a trailer light connection. (quick disconnect) It works.

I've done a lot of those little projects. They are quite fun!
I did this mod to my 964, but it works on your cars too: http://web.mac.com/ilko/RSA/How-To/E...light_mod.html

I modified the oil cooler fan solenoid via some instructions I found here several years ago. Cut a trace, soldered some wire and viola! High speed fan comes on when low speed is called for. No need to go chasing that bad resistor. Cost of this mod was zero.
