There have been a few C4S posted here on RL recently for sale at similar or lower prices, so you might have a look at those. The price is lower (for similar cars) than what i was quoted for dealer prices 1.5 years ago when I purchased....more like what was individual seller prices. Of course now, both those ranges have shifted down a bit....

PPI tells all, but look around a bit first. There are amazing deals out there right now.

Regarding the asking price...well it is just an asking price.

My favorite lately was Mark Wilson's C4S, but he decided not to sell. 32k and very nice.

What's a new rack going for these days? Mine is currently dry from my last visit.

$1500 from pelican...$850 from autozone...$250 if you get it rebuilt by a local rebuilder...free if you have the proper contacts at ZF.

These cars rarely have ANY corrosion underneath. The underside pics look normal. Cosmoline (applied by the factory) is a waxy protector that will trap dirt and grime over the years, giving this appearance.
