question about foglights:
when i turn my headlights on, the foglights come on as well. it doesn't matter if i pull the round **** out or not, they are always on when my headlights come on.
is this right? or...should i have the option to keep the foglights off when i have my headlights switched on?
btw, i have turbo s ducts installed by the previous owner's shop. did they wire them wrong?
the reason i ask is when i run my headlights, i like the litronic look and the fogs are the standard "yellow-looking" color.
thanks.....i hope this isn't a hijack...it's foglight related, right?

Or you can let the wiring be and just purchase these LEDs (which I did):
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...0%3D%26fvi%3D1
They are high intensity LEDs (much brighter than the ridiculous positioning lights) which use the same socket as the postioning lights in the normal 993 foglights. If that positioning light is the same as in the Turbo S ducts, then you will have the same blue light as your xenons. It's an easy swap.
No affil.

The Turbo S duct has a festoon mount (like an interior light) 5 W bulb, so I doubt these Viggo posted will work. I replaced my festoon bulbs with 6 LED models from www.superbrightleds.com As I said, they still provide practically no usable light, due to the lens design.

Haha Bart, you've got to be kidding me?? . Well, I can only blame myself for not asking first. The plan is to use the ones I bought with the Turbo S ducts. I just thought postioning lights are positioning lights, must be the same socket. Dangit.. Bart, do you have a picture of the end result? Exactly which kind did you buy? I have to get it right this time.. Oh and maybe I can use these somewhere else on the car? Maybe license plate lights? Interior??
Here is a picture of how the ones I bought looks with the regular foglights.. Now if these would work in the Turbo S ducts . Does anyone know if the aftermarket turbo S ducts uses the same socket as in the regular 993 positioning lights?
Rant is over. Sorry for the slightly OT.

No they are totally different than the ones inside the factory regular fogs. Mine are 66 lumens, but you will have t get new lenses if you want the TS ducts to light your way.

Paintscratch.com.
Michal,
Excellent. If you're inclined to pull the lights one more time, consider masking around the very ridge of the lens and blacking out the 'thickness' of the glass. This goes a long way to define the actual foglight. With the glass 'open' top & bottom, it lets light in and helps to wash out the inside of the lamp.

I will just buy new LEDs (more of them. Do you have a direct link to the exact items you bought? Or a part number? I don't want to go wrong this time.
I would love to see a picture in the dark of the end result with the LEDs in the TS ducts vs. the regular 5w bulbs in the TS ducts. How do you perceive the difference? big?
Thanks again.
