So just to get to the point, I did search, but I wanted to confirm. My car failed to start today. It cranks over like it wants to start, but then fails and started clicking like mad with my dash lights lighting up with each click. When I try again, it doesn't try to crank anymore, it just clicks like mad. That and my hard wired V1 turns on and off intermittently like it's not getting enough juice. Oh, and the car has sat for about 3-4 weeks now. Ooops.

What do you guys think? Dead battery right?

 

I just went through this with a friends car that had dead battery . he didn`t know you had to reset the imobilizer or else the motor just crank over like it is not getting fuel .

we just reset the alarm and the car with a full charged battery started up on first crank .

Regarding resetting the alarm. I'm still able to arm and disarm the alarm and my interior lights still work.

 

Did you try to boost the battery with a charger (for a few hours)?

What I meant was that if you charged the battery and then it started, your problem would be the battery. Next you would need to determine if it just discharged from sitting or if the battery is bad.

Hilarious responses . It was too late yesterday to go buy jumper cables when I discovered that my car wouldn't start. I'm going to step out the door to buy some cables now. I just couldn't sit idly and wait so I had to make a post.
