If you do plan of having paint protection film (aka clear bra) applied after a respray, be sure to have it painted by an excellent bodyshop. Since you are located in the Bay Area, you should consider: Brooks in San Leandro or Works Autobody in Santa Clara.

Why, Andreas? Black is the easiest to match.

Default chips

I've decided to leave the chips alone and if I ever sell the car, do a re-spray then, and not drive it til it's sold.

Thanks for the pointers. I'll probably just touch up the chips and then have the clear bra installed.

Rock chips are like wrinkles around your eyes, it shows the mileage & years lived fully. I personally am proud of mine.

Someone else in this thread mentioned Dr. ColorChip - their kit worked well for me last year doing touch-ups before taking my car to the Parade paddock. It was very easy for a complete novice to use and the paint was a perfect match. I will be hitting some more chips this spring and will also order a kit for my Audi DD.
