Steering wheel leather, with AB leatherette, black Ø 365mmFVD 044400188YR FVD 044 400 188YR $1,196 Including Airbag Unit .
My E-mail from Jeff at Sunset confirming my order yesterday on the last one in North America.
The setup for black leather wheel and airbag with crest embossed on bag is 000044400188YR for 697.02 and there is one in the US at a week away from me. If it sells out then it's a month from Germany. Plus 60.00 hazmat shipping out to you for both items. Thanks, Jeff.

Yes, it is BOTH. I had been dragging my feet on this mod for 6 months hoping to find a deal. Watched Ebay auctions for both and/or sold as separates but they were going for $800-$1000 average for both-USED.

When this thread posted about the airbag doubling I panicked and E-mailed Sunset right away. When he gave me the price for the package I was shocked and jumped all over it.
I use Sunset in Oregon..not Suncoast.

I think my situation might have been dumb luck. I'm only guessing, but the part number I asked for a quote on is a "kit" so to speak. It is one part number for both a 996 3 spoke steering wheel and airbag.
What I'm thinking is when they raised the airbag prices they forgot to include the "kit" or I just got lucky by getting my order in at an opportune time during the price increase transition.

Here is what I got from Jeff
I would also like a price check on a Boxter 3 spoke steering wheel & leather covered airbag in black. 1582.40 for this combo. The crest would be embossed into the airbag on this setup. If you want a metal color or silver crest then we have to split the package up and that costs quite a bit more if done that way.
