I just noticed in this shot how one of my longhorn and the donkey watchdog had to come see the new member of the family.
I think my bull was happy to see an *** that wide.

Very nice car - congrats! I really like the look, however, I would replace the shiftboot as well. The Carbon on the inside is very similar to mine, here is a pic showing the black boot and cf shifter below.
I also would highly recommend losing the bumerettes front and back. (pics was when I was switching seats - )

I was afraid of the shift-boot's yellow leather when it was described by the sellers, but the yellow stitching in the seats really brings it all together.
I would love to loose the mini bumpers, but can this be done without mods (no filler material, but plugs are ok).
I would love to add a project car to my stable to perform upgrades.

Of course the longhorn bulls will destroy most anything that challenges their territory.

Your thread proves once again that it's the owner's stories that make this place so great. Excellent back story behind you getting this and the end result is fantastic. There's always been something special about a yellow 911 variant for me. When I first saw one passing me on the GW Pkwy in Va., I said to myself..."Self, one day you're going to get a yellow 911." That never happened, but the yellow color still calls to me. The 911 3.2's from 1988 were such a different color yellow.
Congrats.
Congrats.

Long story short, I really want a 993 that I can drive and put on the miles guilt free.

I really like the true spirit of the 993 and the owners. After acquiring my 993 baby (still looking for the right name), I have been looking to add a Porsche that I can use for mostly highway miles between Dallas and Houston. I need to get a Porsche that I can drive hard. I am currently switching between a Range Rover and a Mini S. My last try was a S4, but the fit was not right (weight problems or perhaps I should have gone the RS4 route).
