Gary, another point to mention is to check your lug nuts before you need to replace a tire. My car, as many others, came with regular lug nuts but also a locking lug nut on each tire. You need a special part that is inserted in the wrench to remove that locking nut. They can be ordered from various Porsche sources. If you don't have that part you can't remove the tire. BTW I agree with previous posters regarding the scissors jack.
My car does have a locking lug nut on each wheel. I have the unique "socket" for the locking lug nut, but my tool kit is missing the regular lug nut socket and handle.
Yeah the turbo, full scissors type does seem much better. But, for $197.25 on Pelican, and I wouldn't use it much...

If I was you I'd pop down to my local autoparts shop & check out the scissor jacks on sale Over here we can buy a very similar steel scissor jack for about $10.00. http://www.cromwell.co.uk/KEN5035920K. Maybe able to use with the rubber pad or remove it & fix caphead that will locate in the sill to stop the jack slipping.
My 1st aid kit fits where your tool kit is located.

Where your arrow is pointing is where in my car the tool kit is located, attached to the bumper side of the panel with two stretch loops. No jack in that area. In your picture, what is that gray looking pouch sitting on top of the battery?

As others have said this could be a blessing in disguise-unless you plan to concours the car. IMHO the OE jack is useless and dangerous. Get a scissor jack as has been mentioned above. Just my .02

I would agree with others here - I would never use the thing (unless you are actually trying to kill someone), but if you simply want one to have all the 'OEM' stuff, then I understand
