I have a 1995 993. The battery died, and after I charged it, neither the radio nor the intermittent wiper setting work. The wipers do work, but not on intermittent. The radio is just d e a d . . . no light up, no nothing. Fuses look fine.
First suggestion: Do not trust a fuse that "looks fine". Pull it and test with an ommeter or, if you don't have an ommeter, replace the fuse with a new one.

True that. Learned that one the hard way. Had a similar problem...fuse looked fine so I spent hours (days) troubleshooting. Finally replaced the fuse as a last resort and everything started working again.
When in doubt, go for the simplest solution first!
Why did the battery die? If you charged it, and the alternator is not charging, your voltage can be pretty low. Have you checked the voltage when the car is idling?
