Default Question....

So was doing some service on the 993, upper spark plugs, and removed the blower from the left side of the engine. After getting the plugs changed, I noticed that there are 4 connectors and another part that goes on the piece that you remove from the blower.

My question is - is it possible that there are connectors that aren't plugged into anything? I don't recall unplugging 5 connectors. Suggestions/Comments/Help?

I assume you've had the recall wiring harness installed. Those two extra plugs are for the VRAM actuators, which of course your car does not have.

I'm assuming it did, I've only had the car since last May. I could call the dealer to verify. If two plugs are for the VRAM actuators, what about the third?

Andy - no sweat, that's the wiring harness recall as per Jmarch.

Andy, the 2 circled conn. in the pic below have a home. One goes to a plug near the resistor, the other goes to it's mate in the metal bracket with the 2 10mm screws.
You mentioned 5 conn., I see 4 in the pic.
Maybe the 5th you refer to is the resistor that sits in the blower tube?

Hope that makes sense... I probably have a pic if it doesn't.

Yea - your right, there are 4 connectors and the 5th is the resistor that sits in the blower tube. I know one of the connectors plugs into the blower tube, but I don't recall pulling off a metal bracket with 2 10mm screws, maybe an option that wasn't on my 993? something to do with VarioRam?
