Default Left/Right question

All,

Got a dumb question here....but when looking at the factory 993 repair manual, what is the 'left' and what is the 'right' side?

Assuming this is a US car, 'left' refers to the driver side and 'right' the passenger?

thanks,
anthony

yes, refers to side while sitting in car, facing front.

on LHD cars driver's side = left, pass side = right

I think the tougher question is: Which side is the "front" of the engine?

I don't know whether you're being facetious, but that is a tough question. The best I can tell, the part closest to the viewer is generally referred to as the front, and the viewer is in back of the car. Go figure.
