Another thought occurred to me on this one...
Sometimes spiders will make a nest in some of the fuel filler vent hoses, not sure if a 993 has those but that can also cause evap related codes. I see these frequently on modern vehicles....although much more complex with the vent filler bypasses, etc. Another thing to keep in mind...

Jeff,
I know its alittle late on jumming in here but I have a OBD2 computer I would have sent you to use if you needed it. Looks like the issue has been solved. Good luck on that one
