Default Fixing the 993 !

Well, I'm finally getting around to returning the 993 to duty. I''s been sitting in the garden for about 8 months. There's stuff wrong with it. I will now start fixing it.

The list is long...

1. Needs a new battery. (getting one tonight if all goes well)
2. Filters, spark plugs, belts, oil etc. (on the shelf or ordered)
3. New spark plug wires (on the shelf)
4. Fix faulty hifi + new head unit (most of it on the shelf, including a nice audison 4 channel amp and some focal speakers. Trying to decide on the head unit).
5. Oil cooler resistors (ordered)
6. No air out of the windshield vent. Need to investigate.
7. Door latch ripped (that one's for the specialist)
8. minor rust patch appearing under front windshield (equally for the specialist)
9. New disks and pads (next on the order list)
10. new shocks (by this time it'll be july, we'll all be out of work and i'll have loads of time).

I thoroughly cleaned 6 months of sitting outside in crap weather off her saturday, and I am getting my lazy butt in gear.

Now on point 6., the windscreen vent issue. I've tried the search but I can't seem to hit the right search phrase. Could you guys please help me out.

All info wellcome !

Thanks,

Peter R.

I'm finally starting construction on a workshop as well. The trees are being cut next weekend. Concrete should be in early march.

Busy !

After reading this string, I am not sure Andreas will ever recover. I hope the nightmares end soon.

Got some stuff frome the $tealers. Although in this case I might have to rephrase.

I got 2 alt belts, an aircon belt, two oil filters with o-ring and sealing rings, a new oil temp sender, a ballast resistor and walked out about 200$ lighter.

Porsches are cheap !

Hey,, Andreas, cheer up. I got new parts already !!
