Default sunroof removal & gasket repair

I just spent two hours searching here for info on how to remove my sunroof to no avail. Can someone point me in the right direction? Can someone also tell me what I need to order to redo the gaskets around it?
Thanks

I'll start with sunroof removal:

open the roof about 5 centimeters
hold the edge of the leather from the front of the sunroof and unclip downwards, this leather cover is clipped
to the sunroof from the front only,
When all the clips are unclipped, slide the leather cover rearwards in the sunroof slot and leave a bit of it visible
so that you can grab it back when you mount.
on each side of the roof, you see a mechanism holding the roof from left and right.
the front attachment is the drive arm, mark the small nuts contact point with a felt pen.
rear attachment is for twisting up sunroof on full close, no adjustment here on the nuts, so no felt pen.
Take a picture, or slide the roof shut with small impulses t see and watch how the mechanism works.
this way when you remount, you will understand how it goes back in.
Reopen the roof about 10 centimeters , Unbolt the 4 little nuts that hold the roof to the mechanism
and slide the roof front and up, and it is out of the car.
DON'T DROP IT

Awesome! I thought you had to somehow drop the whole headliner to take a look at the mechanism! Mine gets stuck halfway when I try to close it. Time for a DIY fix.
Thanks for the info!

I've done this several times. Not hard at all. Just be carefull when reinstalling. There are two small swinging clips on the rear attachments (one on each side). Make sure you put these back the same way you took them out.

These pull the panal down while in operation. If not cliped right, it will drag while closing, leaving a nice long scratch over the paint and thus requiring you to take it back out and have it repainted at a body shop. Don't ask me how I know this.

The two sites above may be helpful as well. They are the ones that I used. If you get stuck post back to this thread. It was a fairly easy DIY but another pair of hands helps.

That's the clip (circled). Make sure it goes on top of the pin (arrow pointing to it).

I need to put in a new felt gasket.
About how long should this take? About how hard is it on a 1-10 scale?

It takes a while to clean off the glue from the old felt. The trickiest part is lining up the new felt perfectly, but it doesn't take that long to install. You'll want a second set of hands to hold the length of felt while you apply it in a perfectly straight line. If you send 1 hour cleaning up the old glue then I think you should be done in under 3 hours total.

I cheated and replaced the weatherstripping without removing the sun roof. It can be done and still keep the new cord straight, just need to take your time, but not too much time before 3M adhensive gets dry.
