I'm kicking myself for lack of internet connection today, as I was nearby this car today and won't have a chance to go back for a couple of weeks.
I was looking at 993's a while back, but figured I was priced out the market. Now I'm starting to look again for a pcar, and if this is representative of current 993 prices maybe I'll have to reconsider...
That doesn't sound too far off today given the fact it's a high mileage car, especially if there's no service history. Get a good PPI and have them check the roof and sunshade throughly. If everything checks out give it a go. I can personally attest to the benefits of a Targa, especially this time of year.
I hate to say it, but the price doesn't particularly surprise me, but it does depress me. Not to be picky, but the front edge of the hood, driver's side... in a few of those pics, it appears to not sit flush... there's even a shadow in one of them indicating it's not sitting flush.
Great price on a beautiful color combo. Price seems fair to me due to high miles, presumably no service records, apparently original suspension, and the V6 option (which by the way is actually shown on the 993 vehicle emissions control information sticker in the engine bay...go look on your car, I kid you not!)
You never know with these till you see and drive them in person. The only thing I see wrong is the leather shifter is filthy dirty from 12 years of use. The hood looks a bit off, but it could be a gem in the rough. I LOVE Targas...
Let us know what you do!

The mat on the drivers seat floor is all pushed out..you figure you would take the time to straighten out the mats before you take a picture to sell the car.
