I'm just curious how anyone here could tell how well the headers would perform on any specific engine without knowing the exact length and diameter of the primary header tubes, the length and diameter of the secondarys, and if the "can" is a muffler and if so what type is it? Sure, they look fast, but I think there are a lot of assumptions based on missinformation or no information here.

They are obviously short tube headers, no?

I'm sure you have you own def. and are just baiting here but

For Porsche 6s,
long is ~31" +/- These are the lengths most street/dual use cars have used

short is ~22" +/-

again I'm suere that you know shorter/wider tends to work better at higher rpm and longer/narrower better at lower rpm

The headers that I use are in the 24-26" length but are of the stepped diameter design. I'd be interested to see what these headers do with the longer secondary which may help midrange power.

The step tubed designs are nice, they allow for a controlled expansion of the gas and each step is a trigger for another of the reverse sonic pulses that can help extract gas at the port. Their effect is to widen the sweet spot in the rev range

Most headers seem to be somewhat insensitive to collector length, especially so on a muffled system, they are much more sensitive to the internal merge design and implementation.

You are using cams that allow all of this to happen, w/o cams none of it makes that much difference

What is the diameter of the headers? I have the small restrictor headers on my RSR.

Tim,

Did you ever sell these headers?

Thanks,
Dave
