Finally I completed a new design of the LED's for the 964 and 993.

Here is a picture with the 964 gauges installed in my display. These are the Vintage White.

Here with the Bright White LED's

Here is a view with the 914 setup at the bottom also in Bright white.

And here is the 964 Tach installed next to the 914 Tank gauge the speedo. All in Bright white.

I will have them on my website by end of next week, and they are available in Bright, or Vintage white. These LED's are plug and play.

Thanks
Engelbert

Gee the bulbs in my dash have lasted 20 years so far, if one blows out I'll consider this.

I'd go for the vintage whites.....

But I really like to know if these are an improvement for the OEM Silver Gauges? I have put leds in but still hard to read at night, they were not much of an improvement to the stock bulbs.

Thanks, those look great, I am looking for a custom look though, with a mix of red and blue.

Those look really bad. A good example of when different does NOT equal better.

Are the bulbs directional? meaning they have to go in only one way to light up? and...are they dimmable?

I bought theses 2 years ago. They are direct fit (maybe one small adjustment) and they light ok. They are only 6 lumen though.

The model I bought was : B8.4D-WHP White

I am satified with the color (white, not yellow). They are dimmable but not directional. But they don't light enough. I'm sure it is suffisent for many but I like when it's illuminated.

Here is the small adjustment I'm talking about :

The bulbs have 3 LED's, one at the top and 2 additional at the side, one left and one right.

Here is what the design looks like.

And yes they are dimmable.

I'm sorry, when you install the bulbs will they light up only installed one way. I have found that with LED's the electrically can only flow one way so sometimes they will not light then you have to rotate them 180 degrees.

Thank you for your description....I'm going to buy a set of "white" they will match the new classic radio color.

Correct, the work only one way, if the don't light up, remove and rotate 1/2 turn.

rothaus (Englebert) - Does the bulb you are using correct the issue that Maxpowers2K shows in this image?

I have similar silver gauge faces and have horrendous dark areas with the OEM filament bulbs.
