This particular emblem is from the Dauer 962 LeMans. If I remember correctly, Dauer purchased rights from Porsche after they ceased production on the 962 and built street legal 962's branded as a "962 LeMans." They sold a few in Europe and the UAE I think. One of the street legal cars also won the GT 1 class at LeMans in 1994.

I don't know if it's real, and I certainly wouldn't advocate actually installing on a 993 if it is, I just thought it was an interesting find. Perhaps I should have titled the thread "For all you hood badge collectors".
