Default One more

One I have not seen mentioned that I enjoy -

"Road and Track - Porsche 911Portfolio - 1990 - 1997"

It has all of the original articles written on these cars for the year range stated. There is a little for each of you from the cab to the targa to the C4S and turbo's. Oddly enough, I found this at a used bookstore just sitting on a table for me as pretty as could be....here is a link

Suprised more people didn't mention "The Hunt for 901" by Gosselin. A Porsche mystery story. It would be a great stocking stuffer.

And in the magazine category, there is always "Christophorus, The 911 magazine". I think it's translated from German into English.

Hmm, this is going to be a long list. A lot are older books.

1. Adrian Streather's 993 Companion
2. Editions 1,2, and last edition of Paul Frere's 911 Story
3. Porsche 911 The Definitive History by Brian Long--'77-'87 and '87-'97
4. Cars are my Life by Ferry Porsche
5. 100 Years of Porsche Mirrored in Contemporary History
6. Porsche 911 by David Vivian
7. Porsche 911 Buyer's guide by Randy Leffingwell
8. Porsche 356 Rear-Engined Jewel by Colin Burnham and Paul Jeffries
9. Porsche 356 Defined by Brett Johnson
10. Porsche: The Road from Zuffenhausen by Dennis Adler
11. Porsche by Mike McCarthy
12. The Ultimate History of Porsche by Stuart Gallagher
13. The 1974-1989 911, 912E abd 930 Porsche Authenticity Series by Mark Haab (I was originally going to buy a 930 Cabriolet, and who knows, maybe I will in the future)
14. Porsche the LEgend: 1948 to Today by Giancarlo Reggiani--rip off, but lots of nice pics
15. Porsche 911: perfection by design by Leffingwell
16. Porsche: Portrait of a Legend by Ingo Seiff
17. Great Marques Poster Book: Porsche by Chris Harvey--I got this 20 years ago for Christmas, when I was 9
18. Porsche 993 by Collin Pitt
19. Porsche 911 Carrera, RS & Turbo (993) Ultimate Buyers' Guide by Peter Morgan--this is a pocket-sized book that came in handy when I was looking at 993s
20. Porsche Speedster by Michel Thiriar--I'm disappointed that this book does not mention the handful of 993 Speedsters, one of which was a birthday present to Ferry and another which is a C2S-based Speedster owned by Jerry Seinfeld.

I just ordered the latest edition of Excellence was Expected and Porsche:60 Years by Leffingwell, and they should be coming really soon.
