I think the headers in your link Juha are the same headers as these:

http://www.maxspeed-motorsports.com/993headers.html

So you imply that because of the equal length headers, this somewhat "rawer" / more refined exhaust note is achieved? That the exhaust pulses sort of amplify eachother when the headers are of equal length.. Interesting.. As I said, the sound of Finn's car is intoxicating .. I want more!!! heheh

All I can say is you guys should hear it live!!

It must be the equal lenght primaries as I have heard so many different 993 exhausts and none sound like that. It sounds very raw as you said.

And yes Viggo, a visit to 9M is in order...

Guys, as Juha said, the video doesn't do any justice to what the sound really is. Higher pitch and even more "screaming".

Juha, where's that video where we are in Homestead and I pass you, there you can very briefly hear them from outside although in that clip, the sounds doesn't transfer that well either.

Equal length (Schnell) headers, racing cats and short pipes instead of mufflers. One key thing besides the pipe length is the diameter, most of the systems have too large diameter piping.

Here's the clip. It's kinda long but you can let it load (hit pause when the video starts) and after the bar is about half way you can drag the slider to 6:30 and press play.
You pass me @ 6:34.

Petu, I assume the Schnell headers don't have heat boxes?

I tried to find yours on their webpage but all I could find was a complete exhaust system for the 993.

Do the Schnell headers look anything like these? (The one from Maxspeed and the ones in Juha's link above)

Yes, that's the clip. You meant to say 9.30 & 9.34 sec.
Too bad you didn't pass that guy at the same time, we could've heard some more.
You get an idea of the sound but it still sounds too low and doesn't "scream" as it does in real life although it sounds pretty close.

Right, no heat boxes.

The headers don't look like that. Below is a pic of the whole system, you can't really see the headers that well but it gives you an idea. I've just replaced mufflers with short 2.5" pipes.

Juha,

We are selling those for $ 703.00 USD. If the car is in South Florida we have a current special...Free Installation on all Dansk Exhaust Products. The Flange is Gillet by the way, they are not made for Bischoff.

Rhonda, very tempting. Does FVD Germany sell these for us Europeans? I didn't find the actual product on the US or the EUR web page.

I assume they are equal length headers?

Any soundclips available?

TIA

The primaries are equal length. The primaries are 1.5" in diameter and the collector is a 2" diameter.

Thanks,
Rhonda

Vhanzon,

FVD Germany does sell them. They are currently sold seperately by Dansk.

Go to http://shop.fvd.de/de/de/Porsche-0/-...y_50/Home.html

then punch in 93.011S and 93.012S in the quick search field in the top right corner.

They are equal length headers but unfortunately we don't have a sound clip.

Thanks,
Rhonda
