Looks like turq or riviera would be the new seal grey, everyone would get it. But why are so few ordering this color on the 997, is it because the car is so big it would stick out like a sore thumb, or a blue thumb.
I think the vibrant colors like riv blue, yellow, and red look great on the 993 especially the special models: turbo, S, RS ect., and will look better with age. Why order a 997GT2 in Seal Grey, trying to be inconspicous? You can do a lot cheaper in a standard turbo. Am I going off topic? Sorry.

The one I'm buying is a 993 tip (I know, I know but I need an auto for a daily driver because of a health issue) in polar silver and black leather.
My dream 993 would be:
Metallic black with black leather interior. Black wheels.
And then I'd go with 997 lighting and aircon, pdk and direct injection a la 997. I suppose It's really an aircooled 997 I want

I'd order mine just like it is: Arena Red on Cashmere, but I'd like to re-gear the transmission. Reduce the hole between 1st and 2nd, and shorten 6th.

If I had to pay:
I'd order a copy of what I have (Arena and Grey C2S), but add the optional hollow spokes and aluminum door sills, maybe sport seats.
If someone else was paying:
I'd add full leather, litronics, lsd, and maybe make it a turbo. Then I'd get that car a friend, maybe a GT-1 or RS (since someone else is paying).

Other than that, I'd go for the C4S cab they never really built. Could be a turbo, could be RWD, don't really care as it would just be a cruiser.
Funny how I talked about this with my wife earlier today as we were coming back from picking up a set of cheap 996 turbo wheels from a guy who just bought a perfect 44K mile '01 for $36.5K. Even at that price, I'm happy with the ol' 122K mile C4S with all the frou frou $30K in options I'm glad the original owner bought.
