Well, the plugs from Patrick Motorsports are meant to close the cam tower holes where the SAI pipes attach. I'm more curious about the manifold, and whether it's simply bolted to the case. If ROW cars do not have this system, I can't believe there's anything under the manifold that opens into the case. Just an assumption though. I'm ordering the plugs tomorrow...

The biggest hasle is getting the intake off (and even that is not too bad). Once the intake is gone, simple undo the three or 4 bolts holding the manifold and pump down, unscrew the tubing from the cam towers, and you are done... put plugs back in the towers, and replace the bolts.... and its miller time...
edit: and do some spring cleaning while you are in there.. there are all kinds of nooks and cranies for dust to get into...

Thank you. I still owe you an answer regarding your Biopace steering wheel. Heading out to the shop now...

I can't remember... are you planning on doing fuel filter? While the intake is out of the way, would be a great time to takle that and any injector maintince...

I wasn't comfortable removing my entire 1995 intake, so I just removed the left and right banks. Something about all those electrical connectors and stuff kinda made me nervous...

Yes.. 95, I would imagine the V-Ram is a bit more cumbersome to get out. But really there are not that many wires and tubes.... and they only go back in one way (to the best of my knollege). But a good digital camera helps, just to be sure.
And of course one you have the intake off, imeadiatly stuff rags in the open intake ports... its seems they act like a magnet for any loose objects...

If you have a v-ram car (see sig), and you remove the SAI system, will the car still pass emissions? Isn't this just for cold-start emissions, and thus would be irrelevant for normal emissions testing? Or would it be detected when the gubmint testing station plugs into the OBDII computer and reads the codes?
