Default Question: going rate of 993 comfort seats

Hi all,

I've recently bought a 951 that has black 993 comfort seats. While their condition is quite nice (no tears, the leather is still supple), I plan to swap the 951 sport seats from my last 951 in there. Consequently, I don't have a need for the 993 seats.

I already have a buyer lined up (my roommate) but I don't know what the going rate for these seats is. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
Collin

I'll give you a bag of skittles and a handful of pocket lint for them.

Do you mean comfort (standard) or supple? When the standard seats are really nice--like new--they can fetch high hundreds. I don't think there's much demand for supple seats.

I bought a pair of supple leather seats with 12way adjustability and heat, both drivers and passanger side, that are perfect for $800.00 I am not sure if that helps but I was happy as I had the base power seats.

Now I am waiting to find matching seat of supply leather back seats that some one does not want. Classic Grey of course..

Jon, what's the difference between the supple and standard seats? I always thought it's just the leather difference and the seat itself is the same? It sounds like I was wrong?

To the OP - the value will depend on whether they are manual, 4-way adjustable, 8-way or 12-way and if they have wroking heat.

It is a leather difference.

Jon, thanks!

So, why would there be lower demand for supple seats? Or do you mean that they would not bring any more money than standard?

Supple are much more comfortable. Nicer leather and don't get hard like the standard "comfort" seats.

All true, but they look like they came from a Buick. IMHO, of course. Porsches don't need wrinkles or pleats. Or buttons. Or tufts.

I do wish Porsche hadn't used "painted" leather. Everytime I ride in my boss' BMW 650, I enjoy the soft--but smooth and taut--vat dyed leather on the sport seats.

Default comfort seats

I'm going from memory here, but it seems to me the comfort seats show as an option in my vehicle codes.

Is there a "standard" seat?

Regardless, these seats are super comfortable for me; I've never sat in anything that fits me better. I'm 6 ' 1 ", 185 pounds.

So is this chair, but I wouldn't want it on my car...
