I believe it can, try the E30 Roadfly board...nice car probably on of the best of the late model 3 series made....had one 230,000 miles 5 speed loved it (manual top)

You could also try R3vlimited .com.

http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/index.php

I've gone there for a lot of help with my E30, but I don't know anything about cabs.

I believe converting to manual is pretty common for the power tops. The power tops pretty much suck on the e30. I second the referral to www.r3vlimited.com. It is a very young and smartass-ish crowd on that board, but there is a lot of good e30 info there. I post there too under the same dopey name of "sdcabrio."

I've had two E30 cabs, '91 and '92. Converted the roof to manual on both of them. You need cables, different latches for the top panel and a door handle to release the latches.

It's pretty easy to do and considering idiotic roof design on E30 that bends large forge metal rods and cracks 6mm fat cams insted of blowing a friggin 3 cent fuse... it's absolutely teh right ting to do (does it sound like I speak from some experience? Arrrgh).

I might still have some cables and parts if i have not thrown them out in one of teh moves. On the unrelated note, I also have a good E30 brake master cylinder I'd like to get rid of.

PS. There are several specific E30 things that I've lerned owning these two cabs. I'll be happy to help with any info if you need it.

Speaking of e30's,.....................I'm thinking of selling mine. PM me if you have any interest or for details. (I've owned it 12 years - since 8,000 miles)
