Introduction and Thank You!
Wanted to thank the group for all the helpful input regarding my search for a 993. I followed the advice of many and took one of the 3 993's off of Acastell's hands. I now am the proud owner of the 98 silver/boxster red Carrera S. It's a beautiful car and in truly fine condition. The full leather interior is fantastic...and the boxster red is relatively subdued and I think the combination is classic. It has the 3.8L Porsche OEM engine upgrade, Fikse wheels (I also picked up a set of 18" hollow turbo twists), adjustable sway bars, and Eibach springs. Car still has the OEM shocks so the first upgrade on my list is suspension...I'm leaning toward the PSS10 set-up and plan to maintain the current ride height.
One of the things I like most about the car is it's rich history. The car was owned for the majority of it's life by another fellow Rennlister, and PCA instructor, who had wonderful stories to tell about his quest to find his 98 Carrera S with that specific color combination (and the story behind that as well) and also many of his adventures in the car, both on and off the track. He kept all the brochures, letters from Porsche, memorabilia, as well as all service records...quite a pile...and a wealth of information. He was even so gracious as to talk with me in a couple of occasions before and after I purchased the car. Very cool.
I must add that it was great to buy the car from Acastell - great guy and Rennlist member. This group certainly steered me in the right direction! Thanks again. Hope to see some of you on a Rennlist drive in the San Francisco Bay Area soon. I'm also hoping to take the car to some DE events and the track when I can find some time. Any suggestions on events/clubs would be greatly appreciated. I joined PCA, and read some posts regarding POC, but don't know much beyond that....
Cheers!

awesome, congratulations!
As Terry said, you need to go on that drive
or at least post some more photos! please?
Anthony certainly is a nice, honest guy. I could not believe he sold this sweet car so soon after getting it. You did well
