As with the factory M003 & Cup cars, we leave in the metal structure of the dash so that we can fit the standard 964 type knee pads. If you look carefully you can see that the cage goes through the air vent hole, so the trim pieces are all left intact.

All the dash panels, the dash top, steering wheel, centre console and seat pads are covered in black alacantara which is done for us by a (highly skilled/experienced) friend. If anyone wants this doing for their interior we can certainly have it done but will need you to send us the pieces to be trimmed, I'm afraid we can't offer an exchange service (I think I was asked via email about doing a dash top) other than for GT3RS steering wheels (which we normally do in black with red, blue or yellow colour centre marker).

Nice work! Especially that engine compartment and interior. Did you do the headliner in alcantara?

Al, it's a Clubsport, they don't have a headliner - you look up and see the underside of the roofskin.

The finished weight of the car was 1188kg (2614lb) with around 10 litres (2 gall) of fuel in the tank.

I don't think I mentioned the wheels in previous threads, so for the record it's running on stock 993RS centres and inners fitted with custom made outer rims to build up the width to 9.5" fronts and 12" rears, these are fitted with 245 & 315 Toyo Proxes R888's.

Thanks for all the great comments.

Keep a lookout for more upcoming projectos, at the moment we have a near complete 964 and a 993 shell in the shop waiting on their transformations, have a firm enquiry for another 964 and are nearing completion of a 100% restored LHD 1971 911T, so you may have to look in another aircooled forum for the next 9m build-a-car thread series.

We have had a journo chasing the progress for the last 9 months, so it's a definite. I'll post more details after he has seen the car. Hopefully we can get some coverage in Excellence as well as the more usual UK mags, maybe we should also contact Flat-6 in France and some of the German press? Someone mentioned about contacting Top Gear as they may feature it on the account of it being a new car - does anyone here know how to get in touch with the Hamster?

^^
This guy appears to be the contact for the magazine version:
Top Gear Andy Cowan 020 8433 3996 andy.cowan@bbc.com

But beware, I don't think Jeremy likes Porsches. Maybe if presented in the form of a showdown or a "bet"?
