The statute of limitations passed when I sold my 993.

Speedo 168, GPS 164.

Maybe 130 with either of the current 993's. Silver car, there's no point. Yellow car, there's not a long enough straight.

But way back, when I lived in Phoenix, there's this downhill, 4 lane state highway coming down the back side from Prescott called Yarnell Hill. Like the old Who song "I can see for miles and miles......". And gravity assisted. I do think some of the guys I ran with could top 200. I was much, much, much off that with a 2.7L engined wide body car.

To the point of how fast you decelerate without braking at top speeds, the Radical give 1G braking over 120mph just by lifting.

What happened to the kid a year or so ago who was bragging about taking pictures with his cell phone at 155 or something? He even posted the pictures...

How fast is 6th gear at 6200 RPM? Tach was in plain sight but could not read the speedo due to seat/wheel positioning. Eyes were up anyway...

If you don't have your gear chart handy, just double what you're doing at 3100rpm. And don't forget the speedo error!

Did drive at more than 160 mph ....in Germany in a rented 997 C2S, it was so easy and safe that my hearbeat hardly moved.
In my country, with my 964 no more than 130 mph yet

175mph at Elvington (speedo not AX22 data logger, data logger was fitted to Colin's car at the time - same test day as Colin mentioned earlier in the post) I was way past the braking point and had a serious white knuckle moment to slow down before the end of the runway. Was really glad my car has big reds, 18" wheels and michelin cup sports, needed all three to scrub the spped off.

We were told the previous week a Bentley had tried the same trick failed to stop (much heavier) hit the earth bank at the end and flipped into the field after the runway. They told me after my vmax run!!!!!!

There's not much challenge in going fast on a straight.

What's the fastest you've gone through a curve?
