Default 3 Porsches for sale...

I bought the 98 C2S about 1 month ago….my plan was to drive the car for a few weeks, then make a decision to sell one of the 3 993’s in the stable…

Time has come…I really want to keep all 3, but that brings us to a 5 car family, with only my wife and I as drivers. And, this was never the plan…wife would not have approved the purchase of the C2S…

So, which one to sell…living in California, the Cabs are the obvious keepers…however the C2S is one of the ultimate 2 wheel drive Air Cooled Porsches…

I cannot decide…so, all of them are for sale…I will let the market decide…the first one to sell, sells, the other 2 stay!

I am starting with a post on Rennlist as it is always easier to sell to an educated buyer…will go to Craigslist etc after Rennlist passes…

If anyone wants to talk about any of the cars, PM me…

$ 42,500, ’98 C2S, 67K miles. Silver/Red- IMMACULATE
$ 44,000, 98 Cab- 40K miles. Silver/Terracotta
$ 27,500, 96 Cab- 88K miles. Arena Red/Tan Very Good Condition. CEL at 69K miles ($6K receipt for Top End Done)

The C2s- Too much to list…immaculate ‘starts’ to describe it…3.8l Porsche Factory Upgrade, Adjustable sway bars, big ole wheels and tires (315’s rear and Fikse- tires almost new)...car was tracked by first owner…I added up the receipts for the car, including original purchase, $156,000! I bought it for 39K, shipped it and registered it, so the price is the exact amount I have into the car…

The 98 Cab is immaculate…absolutely spotless…Billstien/ROW suspension, 3K on tires, Rod Birch MAJOR Stereo set up..simply perfect in every way!

The 96 Cab is stock with the exception of an upgraded stereo with iPod and Bluetooth (Bluetooth in the cab is not ideal…echos a bit, but it works)

If money's no object, sell one of the cabs, probably the '96. Definitely not the C2S. I'm crystal clear on this. With the two Arctic '98s you get a little redundancy of color, but actually that could be a cool effect in the garage. I also love the rare(ish?) terra cotta interior.

I'm with Chuck on this. Dump the '96 Cab, and you're set. It'll be the first to go, anyway... Top-end and price are very attractive. For curiosity's sake, where was the top-end done?

If it were me, I'd keep the two '98's.

Agreed, the 98's would be a matched set!

The Top end AND clutch, should have mentioned that, were done at Vanguard Motors in San Francisco...$7,139 total..

If in doubt, keep the 'S' and ditch the rest.

Two cabs is a bit redundant...but, our weather is so nice, the top is down a lot...you can see photos of my C2S on the eBay auction I won:

FWIW, I recently test drove Anthony's '96 cab (as well as his '98 coupe) and it drove really nicely and threw a wrench in my personal cab vs. coupe debate. My only reasons for not buying? I decided that I really wanted a coupe instead and Arena Red isn't my favorite color. Anyway, if anybody wants more info, feel free to PM me.

Wow... those sound like some good deals! I'd say good luck to you, but from the options you have, not sure you really need luck.

I'm with others, I'd sell one of the cabs and keep the C2S. List both of them.

A 3.8 liter conversion <and> a new clutch was only $7k? At a shop in the Bay area? Maybe it was $7139 euros? Like, at the exchange rate from 6 months ago?

J/K you man, that just seems like a great deal from what I've seen. What mileage was that at?

Sell the arena cab then post some great pics of the two silver cars side by side and parked together in the garage.

Well, there has been some good interest in the S and the 96...I would be happy with any 2 of the 3...

Kie, yes, 7K would be very cheap for a 3.8 and Clutch...wish that was possible...the "Top End" and clutch were done at a cost of 7K, on the '96 Cab.

The 3.8L upgrade was done at a cost of 19K, on the C2S...
