Default C4S 993 - All wide-body or option?

I've been reading Streather's 993 book and I'm confused about something: It says that option M491 was introduced in 1996 on the C4S and then made available on the 1997 C2S. Was this option ever available on a non-S version of the C2? And is this really an option on the C4S/C2S or do all 'S' models automatically have it? I ask because I've seen some C4S advertised as wide-body, but the options list on the white label didn't contain M491. Just curious if these are really wide-bodies or not.

Don't worry about "M491"... all S cars are wide body. If it doesn't say "S" then it's not a widebody, and if it's a widebody it will say "S". The C4S started in 1996, and the C2S started 1997. So there was no S body available in 1995.

To add to that.....

Most C4's were S's but a few here on the board have C4 narrow bodies. They are very cool if you ask me.....I think most are 1995's. Feel free to correct me....

In Europe NB 993s of both C4 and C2 were sold virtually right up to the end. My C4 is from May 1997.

Hahaha! Lucky guess! No that's not my 993 with the car cover. One of my best friends works at Tiffany, and she parks on Level D with the rest of the employees. I used to go with her to get her car whenever I'd meet her at work, and then she'd drive me up to my car, and we'd pass thru Level C. Now, I just park on Level C or D because it is so uninhabited, and plus I get to see what's stored down there. The spaces are SOOOO narrow in that garage and I don't want some moron dinging my car!
