Default Temperature mix flap documentation?

Is there an addenda to PET that shows the location of the two temperature mix flap motors that are in the heat supply ducting in the footwells? All I can find is an exploded diagram which shows them in the 964 configuration as part of the A/C unit in the luggage compartment.

I'm also curious as to the operation of the temp. mix flaps in the late configuration compared to the original as described in the patent document diagram. In the earlier version the flaps appear to regulate the hot/cold mixture directly as a function of their location at the confluence of both hot and cold air streams within the A/C unit. The late version simply controls the amount of heated air entering the system upstream. There seems to be no specific control of the cold air in relation to heated air unless that function is assigned to the main fresh air inlet flap.

Can anybody shed some light in this murky area?

Thanks

Check this thread for some info.

You might search on flapper valves. I recall a more extensive post somewhere.
