Do I even want to ask how much? ...I know I know, If I have to ask how much I can't afford it. But the suspense is killing me. That is seriously fastidious work.
I really think that Porsches are mainly for driving. Positive experience has to come not from detailing. I wash my car -- if some thinks I don't -- but this is sick!

Before I embarked into my detailing journey I priced locally a similar job to what I ended up doing on my own. I was looking at $1500.00
With so much information nowdays on the internet, from video's to how to manuals, if you have the right tools and most importantly time, mortals like us can reproduce a similar detail maybe a 90-95% which will be truly outstanding by comparison to what we usually do. So I invested in the right tools to the tune of about $400.00 and I must say that my first detail exceeded my expectations. While I know that I will probably never reach 100% of perfection like this detail, its pretty darn close. My biggest issue is time and my aggravated back
Yeah, I hear you! I think as a demographic, there are likely many more porsche owners with dirty fingernails and DIY as their middle name than Lambo or Ferrari owners (Robin as one clear, notable exception ). A bit of time, energy, and tools, and we can approach if not often times surpass the quality of work that pros provide. Not to mention I am just a working stiff
Still, for guys with that much discretionary income, this level of attention has gotta be a 5-smile service experience! Kudos to the guy who has made this niche for himself ...gotta love his energy and entrepreneurial spirit!

+1 to that but seriously... 55 HOURS?? That's sick..
The part that most impressed me is the paint thickness measurement and polishing. I have had a go at wet sanding and polishing a few cars and therefore have the utmost respect for the skill and knowledge required to do this. I have neither. I think you have to be neurotic/compulsive to go to the extremes that he did. It's still impressive.
that was just incredible to see, I mean the level of detail that they put into the washing/waxing/polishing process is insane. the results were beautiful! thanks for sharing that link!
Wow! That is pretty intense. It's the time that I think is the problem for most, I mean 55 hours, who has that kind of time free to do something like this.
I could see getting my 993 to that level if I still lived in the mid-west and the car spent a few consecutive months in the garage durring the winter. I could spend an hour or two each evening out in the garage and over the course of 30-50 days clock 50-60 hours detailing the crap out of it.
