On a side note, you can take the front spindles and the ENTIRE rear beam of a 944 and stick it on an air-cooled Volkswagen. Hehehehe! I plan to do exactly that one day when I get my 1970 Karmann Ghia Convertible. That allows you to fit 944 Turbo brakes and the 5x130 wheels (VW changed to 4-bolt wheels in 1968), which is a really nice upgrade if you're planning on putting a 2270cc engine in like I am. Oh well, I guess I'll have to make do with my 993 Cabriolet until that day comes.

Nothing.... these cars never seem to sell. They all seem to have text that says something to the effect of "just needs a few details to be perfect" or "is worth $100K once finished" or the best and most common "highly collectible, cannot be told from new". I posted a link to an Ebay car on the 944/951 forum yesterday. It is a Karman Ghia with a 944 drive train. I know that a 944 has the engine in the front and a Ghia in the rear, but it is now billed as a highly sought after "show car". To each his own.... there is an *** for every seat.....

I think he's spent more on the auto-trader ads than tha car is worth.

That car was addressed here a few months back. He had a cardboard girl in the pictures. Like I said in the previous post.... these cars never seem to sell. I don't know who convinces these people that they have something of value. I am also just as curious about the never ending need to "update" early 911's to look like 993's? I saw one on eBay the other day that was on a short wheelbase very early 911 chassis. The rear wheels were about 4 inches too far forward in the wheel wells......
