What a coincidence - I saw something eerily similar this morning.

Then I flushed.

On a side note, you can take the front spindles and the ENTIRE rear beam of a 944 and stick it on an air-cooled Volkswagen. Hehehehe! I plan to do exactly that one day when I get my 1970 Karmann Ghia Convertible. That allows you to fit 944 Turbo brakes and the 5x130 wheels (VW changed to 4-bolt wheels in 1968), which is a really nice upgrade if you're planning on putting a 2270cc engine in like I am. Oh well, I guess I'll have to make do with my 993 Cabriolet until that day comes.

Then one finds a "nugget" such as this.... And I know why I read these!

If you look closely you can see it's lips moving... looks like it's saying "I AM NOT AN ANIMAL! I AM A PORSCHE! I AM A CAR..."

That car was addressed here a few months back. He had a cardboard girl in the pictures. Like I said in the previous post.... these cars never seem to sell. I don't know who convinces these people that they have something of value. I am also just as curious about the never ending need to "update" early 911's to look like 993's? I saw one on eBay the other day that was on a short wheelbase very early 911 chassis. The rear wheels were about 4 inches too far forward in the wheel wells......

Note that due to widespread ridicule the cardboard cutout of a hottie was in the process of being removed, but not in time for the latest photo shoot: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/img_po...5&photoIndex=3

Early 911s are beautiful, and it doesn't make sense to me to turn them into 993 look-alikes. How much do you suppose it costs to do such a conversion? Surely, you could just buy a 993 for the same amount. Why destroy a good thing?

I dare someone to call the seller.
