ViperBob!

Good to see you here, has anyone yet said this is a kick *** project?!

I heard about that engine work going in there too, what's the deal? I hope AC993C2S puts some details about that up when it's ready!

Can anyone explain the GT2 tilting blocks. Is this just for a complete GT2 suspension or is it the ultimate bad *** suspension.

The GT2 tilting blocks gives the rear suspension cage a downward tilt in the front. As the cars accelerate, the rear tends to squat. As it does, the factory tilt of the suspension cage will tilt up in front and change the geometry of the rear uprights and all those pretty heim jointed arms. With the GT2 setup, as the rear squats a little it actually brings the entire rear suspension into a neutral position. Hope that makes some kind of sense..

Wow can't wait to see the final result..

Regarding the heat exchangers, why did you remove them? Was it just to be able to coat the headers (inside and outside)? What are the potential pros and cons? Just curious..

Viggo-

The heat exchangers were removed because the heating system (and entire AC system) have been completely removed from the car, so there was just no use for them...and they were ugly anyway. ;-) The only way any air (hot or cold) is getting into the car is thru the door windows....or should I say the door window openings - the window glass and all the crap inside the doors; glass, motors, power window switches, etc is gone as well.

screw the slippery slope. Buddy, you went off the cliff of this one!! Nothing has been spared and beside the tub, this car will feel completely different from last time you drove it. Be careful when you take it out.

Ok, I got it . So cutting the heat exchangers off is not for us with AC etc I guess..? I still remember when you had your pristine C2S GQ sitting in your garage.. Rob, you are the rennlist spirit personified . Keep us posted, many of us dream of doing something like this, sometime.... Can't wait to see the beast once it's finished!

Engine: 3.8 RSR P/C, RSR Cams, Big Valves, Solid Lifters, Carillo Rods, Titanium Valve Springs, ARP all around, etc, etc, etc & Protomtive Tuning...and yes, the car has a G50/31 RS gearbox.
