OT: Hurricane Gustav
Hope all will be well who are in the path of hurricane Gustav.
A co-worker of mine and his family lost everything during Katrina and he has evacuated his family to B'ham, AL this time around.
Hope lightening doesnt strike twice.

Hopefully Katrina prepared us and the aftermath won't be nearly as bad.
I was just in the Big Easy last January, and the French Quarter was pretty much restored. I understand some of the outer area had not even been rebuilt yet.

we are waiting the storm out as we speak in baton rouge... not bad yet, just a little rain and a few strong gusts. left the car home and went to the inlaw's wth the wife and new baby. we have a lot of trees around our house, so i'm praying that none of them fall on the car or house.

My parents evacuated yesterday and arrived this afternoon. They were lucky in Katrina and will hopefully be lucky with Gustav. Dad has his P-car on blocks and will hopefully stay dry. He had water touch the bottom of the rims in Katrina so this should keep it out of any water. I've got a lot of friends in The Big Easy and hope they are doing well.
