New Z06, is $60k a good price?
Hi,
Not that I am buying one. A local Chevy dealer advertises on radio for new Z06 at $60k. I think this is without any upgrade packages. I'm sure destination, tax, and fees are on top. BTW, the employee 'no haggle' price is about $62k (base car again). Also, the standard power train warranty is now 5 (?) years 100,000 miles.
Is that a good price? A few months back, I saw used ones for $55k and I thought that was a great price.
About 18 months ago, the new ones were going at $10k over MSRP (at least in the Bay Area) thus pushing $85k.
I know it's 'still a Chevy', but if someone is looking for a track car, this is not a bad choice at this price.

It is a great price
If there was ever a time to try the "dark side" of American muscle, it is now and it is staring you in the face. The Z06 is one heck of a value proposition.

Pong,
These things are listing for $100k here in Canada. Even with a whiff of currency exchange, duty and taxes, you can appreciate what a great price $60k is.

if it's a zo6, yes good price.
if not zo6, why buy a corvette?
the new zo6 will eat any GT3 given equal driver (oh, three caveats: 1, you need suspension work, 2 u need new brakes and 3 it will beat gt3 while z06 lasts)

Great Numbers car.. Fast and quite impressive, It's still a "Plastic Pig" though (actually the Z06 is a plastic pig on a diet w/ the carbon fiber goodies)

I'm very fond of the ZO6's but as always, I ask myself... What kind of other Porsche could I get for the same money?
Quite alot if you look. And most times out of many, it will be an appreciating investment.
Roy.
