I'm relatively new to the bluetooth world so any thoughts would be helpful. My only requirement is to have a behind the ear unit as the earbud style has never worked for me...very painful after a few minutes.
I was thinking of getting the Motorola H710 but am curious as to what works for folks here.

The original Jawbone is the only way to go, IMO. The new Jawbone looks cool and is nice and small, but the sound quality is inferior to the original one. I use the original when I'm driving my noisy Miata and, unless, I'm driving over 80mph, most normal people who are not plagued by other physical or mental maladies can hear me very well.
Google "best bluetooth headset" and you'll see a test or two by PC Magazine. I also tried two top-rated Plantronics and a Motorola headset before deciding on the oJ.

Don't buy the Plantronics ones, I always had good luck with Plantronics headsets for my office phones figured to give their bluetooth a try. Big mistake. No connection or noise issues just that the volume is way too low, unless the car is stopped you can't hear the other person talking.

I like Jawbone but the expense is kinda crazy. I love Jabra. I had an old one until the mike boom broke. I got a Type BTI135 from WOOT!. It works great
I will go Jabra again.

I've pretty much abandoned the bluetooth headsets and gone old school with a wired one again. The bluetooth ones just never worked well... always ended up not being clear, particularly with others having trouble hearing me if I was in the car.

I was wired for a while, but then my headset connector on the phone started getting gritchy. Had to go bluetooth or get a new phone. Try the original Jawbone; you'll be pleasantly surprised.

LOL. It's no longer a fashion statement since too many areas are mandating hands-free use while driving. I do think it is more than a bit easier to multi-task with a headset than while holding a phone. YMMV.

Original Jawbone should not have any issues what-so-ever with the Treos (both palm and winMO operating systems).
I used to work for AT&T (still do, just not retail sales any more
) and this was by FAR the best thing we sold. Nothing comes close to the Jawbone (not sure about the newer one). I've had mine since the day they came out a year or two ago and have not had a single issue with it. Still use it every day even though I work from home now.
