Thanks, I am coming up on an oil change and I like to do two or three tankfuls prior.
Actually, is that true? I remember hearing somewhere that the Techron in high concentrations is bad for the oil, somehow it gets in there and breaks something down so you should run the stuff through before an oil change rather than after. I have just always done it that way, does anyone have accurate info on this?

If her car is hesitating/stumbling, then there's probably something wrong with it. Is her car supposed to use 93? If not, there is absolutely no reason to use 93. And if her car is supposed to take 93, and she uses 87, Techron isn't going to do a darned thing to raise the gasoline's octane. 93 is not "cleaner" than 87. All it does is burn more slowly, to allow full ignition timing advance without knocking in higher-compression motors. Techron, again, has no effect on gasoline octane.
BTW Techron will clean fuel varnish buildup and some carbon buildup on the tops of the intake valves. It doesn't clean up from using contaminated fuel. That's a whole different thing.
