Though it looks pretty good, they are not the real "TechArt".
It looks like some sort of variation of the real thing(ie HK Plus version but better...)

Yes, I know they aren't Porsche or TechArt style. But this weekend I saw a Techart car and was not immpressed with the fitment of the "Originals". First the ones I got hold with the fog lights so it seams that they also have a better hold of the air duct and the fog light.

This is a fascinating setup. You're right that the duct is designed to hold onto the fog light better than Techart's. (I own Techarts). But still, the Techarts typically fit fine. Do your fog lights have the small running light in the corner like Techarts?

BTW, the fog lights are merely Jetta Mk II fog lights. Techart mods them by installing this light into them, plus glues on a couple nubs for mounting to the duct. Techart uses Hella (OEM) fogs, but I assume these are Chinese replacements. The Chinese fogs aren't quite as nice, but are fine.

I am not trying to say that the one that I have are the best. I got them here on German Ebay. And also got a second Pair from the seller and I got them for a good price much cheaper then the "originals". Because the I believe that the TechArt's are copy from Porsche that they have in the listed in the Tequipment catalog they had two version in the catalog. And of course do I have Hella light with the white side markers.

@TheOtherEric
Where you able to mount the black end caps on the fog lights with it installed into the car? I had a little fittment issue with them.

Wow- with Hella lights and the side markers, I'd say these are probably just as good or possibly better than the uber-expensive Techarts. That's great news for anybody looking for a fog/duct setup. Thanks for sharing!

No, I could not mount the black end caps on the fog lights either with a U.S. bumper or a Euro bumper cover. Again, these are made for VW so it just didn't fit a 993 perfectly. I made a cover using a bicycle tire inner tube and some glue.

MS ROAD RAce has a set of Techart ducts on ebay now for $199, but they don't have the lights that go with them.

They don't appear to be on German ebay. Search www.ebay.de for Porsche 993 Lufteinlässe and you see some others, but not these.

Yes, the fog lights are from a VW Golf. Mk III? I forget offhand, but I've posted the details in this forum. You might search on Golf and TheOtherEric and you'll find it. You can also get Chinese-made versions, and they're fine but not quite as nice since the glass is a bit thicker. Works for me though.

Techart made a couple little changes to the VW fog lights; they installed the driving lights and also glued on a little plastic piece that helps locate it against the duct.
