Hi there, I'm trying to buy a CD changer from a fellow Rennlister, but I am not sure if his CD changer is compatible with my head unit. I have the OEM Blaupunkt CDR 210 head unit, and his changer is the CDC-2. I looked in my 1996 Tequipment brochure, and they list the CDC-3. What are the differences and is the CDC-2 compatible as well? Also, will I need to purchase any wiring or is the car pre-wired for a CD changer from the factory? Finally, what does it mount to? Thanks!

The changer bracket mounts directly to the driver's side frame rail - in front of where your brake fluid reservoir is attached.

The one from Porsche is the CDC-3, but Becker also has one (they are the manufacturer of the Porsche radios) with a different model number...same unit though. I don't think I've ever seen a CDC-2
